Plot: Visitors to the mystical town of Sedona encounter eccentric characters and a series of calamities that lead them to unexpected miracles. Full summary » | »
Story: Soul-searching drama depicting the profound personal transformations experienced by a powerful advertising executive and a stressed-out lawyer over the course of one life-altering day in mystical Sedona, Arizona. Successful ad woman Tammy is driving from Portland to Phoenix to meet a big potential client when she's run off the road by a small airplane making an emergency landing. At first infuriated by the eccentric locals, she gradually begins to suspect that she may have ended up in Sedona for a reason as she waits for the local mechanic to repair her car and faces her difficult past for the very first time. Meanwhile, amidst the towering red boulders, workaholic lawyer Scott, his partner Eddie, and their two sons embark on a hiking trip that turns unexpectedly tense when seven-year-old Denny disappears into the sun-scorched landscape. This film was not what I was expecting. Everything about it'soff-kilter approach -- including its enhanced landscapes and innovativeshots, quirky spiritualists, and out-of-touch tourists -- lends itselfto capturing Sedona's uplifting lightheartedness. In this spirit, it'sappropriate that a balloon floating upon a breeze sets all thesynchronicity in motion. I take the experiences of the waylaid touristentirely seriously, as seriously as I take the Apostle Paul'sconversion on the road to Damascus. Too bad Paul couldn't have been onthe road to Sedona. Christianity would have had a much lighter touch inachieving the same end.

As a Sedona resident, I could not wait to see this movie. Happy to say,it was all I hoped for and more. Sedona (the City) has to beexperienced first hand to understand the energy and synchronicity here,but this film gives the audience a glimpse into the metaphysicalexperience one finds in this amazing place. I loved this movie foraccurately capturing a tiny slice of mystical Sedona. Tommy Stoval andMarc Sterling did a wonderful job creating a light-hearted,entertaining look into the extraordinary vibrational aura that somepeople find a bit uncomfortable here. Others, like me, find it lifechanging and heart opening. Sedona, The Motion Picture, demonstrateshow so many seemingly everyday happenings become serendipituous eventsthat change us in profound ways and reconnect us to unconditional love.Those of us fortunate enough to call Sedona home have a phrase for it:Sedona moments. Congratulations to everyone involved with this film!

Sedona was a wonderful movie to watch. It's a great feel-good movie.Rightly so, they acknowledge the gay community by placing it in themain plot. Frances was wonderful to watch on-screen. It is a shame shehas not been recognized at awards ceremonies. Beth is fun to watch.She's light hearted, quirky and care-free. Seth had a demandingpresence when he was in a scene. He is truly a great actor. Trevor wassimply awesome. He's very good for being so young! If there was adown-side to this film, it was only it's low budget. Due to this, thespecial effects are relatively terrible. I really hope a majorproduction company will back this movie so they may improve on thespecial effects. This movie leaves you feeling good when it ends.They've done a great job on this movie, especially for a low-budgetindie film. Congratulations!
