Story: An all-new Disney holiday classic is born - Santa Paws 2: The Santa Pups. Starring a brand-new litter of the cutest talking pups ever - Hope, Jingle, Charity, and Noble - it's perfect for the whole family. Disney continues their "Air Buddies" franchise with "Santa Paws 2: TheSanta Pups" this Christmas. After sitting through several of thesemovies, I can tell you that most of the time they aren't made forparents at all. I refer to these types of movies as "babysitters." Youplay them for the kids and exit the room immediately. That being said,I found this holiday entry into the series tolerable and easier towatch.
The Santa Pups sneak a ride on Mrs. Claus's sled as she heads toPineville. Once they get to the town, they start granting the wishes ofthe children there. Unfortunately, one wish goes awry and Pineville'sChristmas Spirit begins disappearing. Mrs. Claus and the Santa Pupsmust find a way to save the town and bring back Christmas Spirit to itscitizens and the rest of the world.
It's easier for me to tolerate these ridiculously cute movies whenthey're wrapped in Christmas paper. I'm a sucker for anything that hasto do with the holiday. "Santa Paws 2: The Santa Pups" is also madewatchable thanks to the fact that it doesn't lean as heavily on theanimals like most of the "Air" and "Santa" Buddies movies do. Thehumans are involved in the storyline to a greater degree, making iteasier for adults to identify with.
Cheryl Ladd stars as Mrs. Claus and pours her heart and soul into therole. It's hard to believe a Charlie's Angel is playing Santa's wife.George Newbern portrays a widowed father whose son has lost hisChristmas Spirit. Most people will recognize him as Bryan MacKenzie inthe "Father of the Bride" films. Danny Woodburn returns to the role ofEli the elf which he brought to life in the first "Santa Buddies" movieand its sequel, "The Search for Santa Paws."
The "Santa Paws 2: The Santa Pups" will bring holiday cheer to boys andgirls everywhere. Although some parents might find it difficult to sitthrough these movies, rest assured this one is easier to take in. Onething you can count on is it's appropriate for any age child andperfect for family night in front of a fire with the dim light of yourChristmas tree in the background.

This movie is all about some pups being taught some lessons sincebirth. Some of the lessons make them curious like the one about somemagic crystals. They think that they are ready to be like their dad sothey steal one from Eddie (the elf dog). At the same time Mrs. Claus isflying to town so they hitch a ride and want to try to grant wishes.They give some good wishes, but then they accidentally grant a very badwish, and everyone starts to lose their Christmas spirit.
The main characters in the movie are Mrs. Claus, Eli (Santa's headElf), The Reynolds family and the pups. My favorite character is Mrs.Claus because she cares a lot about others and loves all the Christmasspirit in the world. She is really good with kids and shows them allabout Christmas spirit. I also really like the pups because they wantto grant wishes, but it doesn't work out so well, so they have to helpsave Christmas for the world.
My favorite part in the movie is all the singing. I love movies thathave a lot of music in them and I think that helps to make them moreenjoyable to others too. The best musical number in the movie is whenMrs. Claus is in jail with some people she met and sings a really goodsong. It is so good it has been stuck in my head for three days! Itmakes me want to see the movie over and over again until I memorize thewords.
I recommend this movie for all ages because it is a really good movieand I think everyone will like it. It has mostly singing that is allabout Christmas, joy and cheer. I guess that there were some thingsthat just might scare you but I think you will be alright. It is areally great holiday movie. Go out and buy this movie on DVD andBlu-ray now!
