Story: Crushed by the armies of Kaptara, the city of Athens is forced to hand over its children in sacrifice to a bloodthirsty god. Only the crown prince Theseus dares stand against the empire. He must venture into the depths of a mysterious temple to face a monstrosity more terrifying than anything civilized man has ever seen. KAPTARA is a retelling of the Greek Myth of Theseus, prince of Athens, and his epic battle with the Minotaur, a flesh-eating monster with the body of a man and the head of a bull. As the first movie from Mind's Eye Studios, and low budget, this isexcellent. This movie is so much fun to watch. It makes you feel like akid again only the Minotaur is darker and scarier than anything in TheSeventh Voyage of Sinbad. The voices are fantastic. The musical scoreis beautiful and carries the emotion of the film from the joyouswelcoming of the tributes to the dark depths of the labyrinth. Theanimation is great, though could be better (the female anatomy defiesgravity but I think most men will not mind and running scenes could useimprovement). The story is well told and keeps you in suspense. Themovie has great momentum. It's a fun ride that ends too soon! I want asequel!!

I have seen this movie at least a dozen times and it gets better everytime I watch it. You can really tell that the director put a lot ofthought into every aspect of the movie. The editor did a great job tooI don't feel like I am missing any important points. The story flow andpacing is excellent and the graphics are reminiscent of popular videogames. There are a couple of goofs within the animation but it was kindof fun finding them throughout the film. For a low budget movie I wasreally impressed with the overall quality of the movie. I was on theedge of my seat from start to finish. Although, I would not recommendthis movie for young kids I think teenagers and above would really geta kick out of it. My kids really like the movie, their favoritecharacter is the minotaur. Every movie deserves a chance and overallthis one was not a disappointment.

Wow what a film...an epic, intelligent drama and fantasy/adventure that*demands* a sequel, and a prequel!! The graphics are so detailed (lovethe eye makeup of the female characters), the voices are beyondexcellent, and the music and the sound are so perfect for the story.There is also a touch of humor and levity which only adds to theawesome edge-of-your-seat drama. I also was amazed by the incrediblymoving opening sequence and artwork. The horror scenes are delightfullyshocking and graphic and they rival those of Japanese Animes. Animatedfilms like this, for an older audience, are the best!! "Atlantis: TheLast Days of Kaptara" needs to be released in all theaters!
